The Light+Building 2024 fair in Frankfurt has established itself as a key platform for the latest trends and innovations in the field of lighting and technology. This biennial event attracts professionals from around the world, offering a glimpse into the future of how lighting solutions will be designed and implemented in the spaces we inhabit. This year's edition was no exception, featuring everything from advances in energy efficiency and sustainability to the latest applications of artificial intelligence in lighting control and personalisation. These innovations not only reflect significant technological progress but also a growing commitment to user well-being and environmental protection.

Novolux Lighting's Novelties

This year, Novolux Lighting exhibited in a 120 square meter stand in Hall 3.1 alongside other major brands. Here are some of the innovations we presented:

  • Crete is a 48V technical lighting collection, specifically designed for architects and interior designers looking for versatile and high-quality lighting solutions. This series includes 4 models of unique spotlights, 5 versions of linear luminaires, and 4 options of tracks for surface installation, direct suspension, direct-indirect suspension, and recessing, offering unprecedented flexibility in lighting design. Each element of the Crete collection stands out for a CRI>90, ensuring exceptional colour reproduction. All its pieces are available in white and black finishes, perfect for any design aesthetic. Depending on the spotlight or linear luminaire, different beam angles and UGR values can be achieved, perfectly adapting to the specific needs of any project. Notably, a spotlight with variable optics offers the unique ability to adjust the light beam from a precise focus of 12º to a wider illumination of 46º.
  • Uku is our new series of versatile spherical spotlights, with 6 variants depending on their installation: recessed to the ceiling, for rail, surface-mounted on the wall, surface-mounted on the ceiling, suspended, or suspended for rail. Each model offers 4 different designs of diffusers/optics: opal half, short round half, long round half, and cylindrical half. Available with CRI90, K Select (2700K, 3000K, 4000K), and W Select (6/9W), they ensure adaptability and lighting quality. Its articulated arm allows inclinations of 0, 15, 30, and 45º, facilitating precise lighting. Refined aesthetics in white, black finishes, and additional embellishments in white, black, and gold for certain versions, provide an elegant and functional lighting solution for multiple spaces.
  • Tec, designed by Nacho Timón and clearly inspired by the stylistic lines of the 1970s, is a collection of decorative lamps for indoor spaces. Crafted from plywood beech wood, these lamps perfectly complement current trends in architecture and interior design. The collection, which includes a pendant lamp, a wall light, and a table lamp, is ideal for creating warm and welcoming atmospheres. Its design focuses on soft and careful geometries that evoke a sense of tranquillity and comfort, transporting the user to a bygone era with a touch of modernity. Tec is perfect for nude or bohemian style environments, where its lines and natural colours harmonise with the textures of the surroundings. This collection not only illuminates but also serves as a decorative element that captures the essence of the 70s aesthetic with a contemporary approach, ideal for professionals looking to integrate elements with character and style into their projects.
  • Twist, designed by Nacho Timón and inspired by the sinuous architecture of Zaha Hadid, redefines interior lighting. This collection includes five different models: two floor lamps of different sizes, a table lamp, and two variants of suspended lamps also differentiated in size. Made of fine plywood beech wood, the Twist collection brings subtle elegance and an unmatched decorative lighting effect. Its formal design, with spectacular and sensual geometry, gives spaces a distinctive and sophisticated identity, perfect for cutting-edge architectural and interior design projects.
  • Stone is a collection for illuminating outdoor spaces, characterised by its elegance and robustness. Originally consisting of three different models of wall lights (round, square, and flat), the series has been enriched with new models such as a ceiling mount and an innovative bollard. The latest addition to the family has been the spike spotlight, marking a new milestone in versatility and design. Made of high-quality stone and available in various finishes such as anthracite, white, red, and natural, Stone not only offers resistance and durability thanks to its IP65 protection rating and suitability for saline environments but also stands out for perfectly adapting to both rustic and contemporary settings. This collection provides unprecedented decorative and functional solutions, capable of transforming any outdoor space into a unique visual experience.
  • Dion, designed by Jordi Blasi and awarded the Bronze Delta at the ADI 2020 Awards, represents the cutting edge in outdoor lighting. This collection, consisting of a wall light and three bollards of heights 250, 600, and 1000mm, merges functionality with exceptional architectural design. Each piece, made with an aluminium body in elegant anthracite colour and complemented with sintered stone, is available in sophisticated finishes such as Neolith Nero Zimbabwe, Neolith Phedra Satin, Neolith Iron Moss Satin, or Neolith La Bohéme NH. Designed to transform outdoor spaces into captivating and elegant settings, Dion stands out for its refined aesthetic. It is a perfect lighting solution for both residential and commercial spaces, offering luminosity that enhances the architectural beauty of any space without compromising functionality.
  • L3D from the Canaled range, a technical linear designed for large commercial areas, car parks, warehouses, hospitals, railway infrastructures, and offices, offers significant differential advantages such as: easy installation - designed to reduce installation time by up to 70% compared to other systems, emergency lighting - the system incorporates pre-installation for emergency lighting, which with its optional module, turns L3D into emergency lighting, the possibility of current derivation - very convenient for signage, promotional labelling, or lighting specific areas, and adjustable light intensity - the wiring and incorporated DALI drivers, along with light sensors, presence detectors, or time controllers, make L3D an intelligent lighting system.

The fair once again demonstrated that the lighting sector is in constant evolution, seeking not only to advance in terms of design and functionality but also in how these solutions can contribute to a more sustainable and harmonious future for everyone.
